dispatch from the pulsating dynamo of normalcy [a poem]

This is another one of those signs.
I wonder if I’ve been too impatient.
Penny for your thoughts and energy and downtime for your money

it was all mine and now it’s mine all mine.

Everything is off the shelf for me: how I am,
what I am, how I think and feel; where I am, where I stand.
We are mowed down by the now overwhelming panic and suspicion that “Life Has Gone Wrong!”
For who has the time? We’re too busy trying to get it together and take ‘Life by the Throat!’

Get well soon

It’s taken an eternity to put the house together,
I wanted my marriage to have love and affection to make it stand out from all the others.
But who has the time to be nice to each other anymore?
We’re too busy trying to get it together and take ‘Life by the Throat!’

Get well soon

The house is almost ready for paint
As it goes from darkness to light
