Some people would say Tom Waits, but I actually tend to like his stuff, if not love it. No, my choice is Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” which is perhaps the worst song ever written. It’s so intentionally generic that it’s sickening. I frickin’ hate it, and it reminds me exactly why things like punk rock, metal, or industrial came into existence.
